To tell you the truth I was about to stop reading this book after the first couple of chapters and boy I was glad I didn't. The rejected mate bit and that she was beaten by her pack and part of her family was expected in a shifter story. But what I wasn't expecting is the development of the story, the intrigue, the political plotting and the spice!!! Once got into it I couldn't put it down. The cliffhanger had me screaming, then I remembered that the next book of the series was out! YEAH!!! Hopefully she will stop being in a cell or getting beaten.

Couldn't put it down!

Such a delicious slow burn! This story is so good! It has a rejected mate, a second chance, vengeance, and so much chemistry and tension! I love Ayla! I feel like she has been gravely underestimated and can't wait to see her grow!

Emotional rollercoaster

I cried for like the first 10 chapters for the main character then got so happy. Anger took over shortly after then ended with anticipation. I’m definitely diving into the second book immediately.

Another tortured MFC outcast from her pack and rejected by her mate. I liked that there were different powers for different clans but it needs more smut.

Omg I fucking LOVED this book! Don’t be fooled by the cringe cover and title. The pace of the story was perfect for me. It was action packed. And lots of spice. Good villains. I mean what more do you need? I also love the similarities between the mate bond and trauma bond. Not sure if that was done on purpose but the way Ayla was describing her mate bond to that Leo fuckface felt very familiar lol.
I cannot wait to get started on the next one!
