A creepy and tense novel about hidden cameras in holiday rentals for online voyeurs. Set in Auckland and Lake Tarawera (near Rotorua), there’s plenty of atmosphere. Lina is a paramedic married to Cain, a war veteran and they both have their secrets from each other. Cain encourages Lina to put the family lakehouse for rent on WeStay( an Airbnb thing) and the complicated plot follows. It’s fast paced and I read it quickly to find out what was going on. The resolution was surprising, I didn’t pick the twist!

Wow. That was something very very creepy. I loved it though and I flew through it. Completely recommend it to anyone who loves a good dark book!

this was nice! i like the authors voice.
ending felt rushed, but everything else leading up to it was good.
i don’t know why, but i liked cain. it’s like i suspected him, but still didn’t expect it

the premise of hidden cameras is terrifying to me.

This one reminded me a lot of what it was like writing a paper in college.
That is to say, the author had a brilliant idea, then just started throwing words on a page and couldn't stop until it because convoluted and repitive.
Truly, the storyline was compelling and original, but alas, the book could have and should have been able a hundred pages shorter. Cut out all the fluff and repititon.
