Absolutely beautifully written. However I‘m not the biggest fan of Florentino Ariza.

This is the second book I've read from Márquez, after 100 Years of Solitude, so I expected the ending to be a sudden "they-all-die" type of deal, but I was pleasently surprised that didn't happen! I can't decide if I liked this better than 100 Years. I just love a good romance and having the characters just be two instead of mulitple we had to memorize over generations, but nah, nothing beats 100 Years I guess. I liked Florentino Ariza until he turned out to be a pedophile, oh well.
