The author does a good job of making the characters relatable even during intense situations, creating a wide range of emotions throughout the book. It does begin somewhat slow with the main characters seeming a bit too perfect or niche but as the story goes on, they unravel more, creating for tense moments and an urge to continue.

Such a twisted book. The main characters are “sisters” who grew up in foster care together and endured a rough childhood with an awful foster mother and her daughter. As the plot moves on, you find out more about their dark past and how that is still connecting to and deciding their futures. If you like a good story about family secrets, this is a book for you.
