The Secrets of Us- Lucinda Berry- 4.75 ⭐️ What is happening? Who should I believe? No freaking way! Oh, dear! Page turner, little too long for me, but just a smidge, lots of twists or uncertainties. Really loved this one!

This book really lacked the trauma aspect of things. It wasn’t all that impressive. The ending is decent where I didn’t see it coming but I just didn’t love the book. They spoke about this trauma they went through and it wasn’t like all that bad. Like I thought they would have had more idk just an eh book.

3.5 stars but 4 on goodreads so ms berry don’t loose ratings

tbh I had no idea what was going on for the first 60% of the book but it got good the last 4th. the ending was very anticlimactic I wish she gave us more into nicole’s mind coming up on the murder and not just one final chapter. i really love dual time period stories when they are done right and this once almost was if there was just 20 more pages in the book i feel like that really would have wrapped it all up. I feel like there was a lot of loose ends that weren’t really tied up like will aiden stay with her and will she go to jail etc. that book took me on a journey and that girl nicole is crazy man

side note - I feel like this book would be a great movie

good book, i don’t feel overly passionate about this one like i do other books, and other lucinda berry books, but i definitely thought it was good. I loved the chapters being inside the mind of someone struggling with mental disorders, those were super intriguing
