Was really really close to being a 4 but there were quite a few sections (mostly when Levin was talking about his farm and the election part) where I found myself losing interest. Would probably get more out of it if I reread in the future with a better understanding of historical context.

Finished this and how?? The ending was surprisingly emotional and left one thinking, but to get there was SO difficult, I kid you not. Someone should've connected Leo Tolstoy with an editor, man's not filtered any of his thoughts before writing.
Also what in the high society Russian drama is this and why are the men in love with all women except for their wives???
This book is 60% male ego, 40% tragedy and 100% boring.
Only finished this cause THIS GIRL LOVES A CHALLENGE.
