This borrows an idea from the past …. Sending “criminals” to work camps… only these camps are on foreign planets rather than countries.  The criminals in this book happen to be primarily political prisoners who have fought against the mandate on how things should be.  Shipping them on a one way trip to another planet isn’t going to change who they are or what they believe.  What could possibly go wrong?

I am genuinely conflicted in my terror and joy over this book. The eco system evolution and infiltration science involved in this horror of a political revolution sci-fi is well done and a nightmare.
