This is so ridiculous & disgusting.
It's all about how three IITians mess up everything and at last they regret & correct it.The story is so lame like there isn't any exciting moment.Indians are so much IIT obsessed that they'll like any piece of shit about it...
I've watched it's adaptation '3 Idiots' which is awesome & superb like among the best Bollywood movies..
Quite Funny huh!!!

So I had this book for a long time and was not able to read because I was enticed by other books (in retrospect they were definitely better than this). By the time I got to read this book I already knew the story, as a movie was “inspired” by it.
The reason I read this book now was because it suited a prompt in a reading challenge I have taken and it is one of the “3 mistakes of my life” (slight exaggeration). It was a waste of time not because I already knew the story but because it was not written well. My grasp in English is not that strong and this is even worse. The plot is relatable but the style of narration is unpleasant. Overall, I would not recommend this book.

A fun light-read, a little emotional and very relatable. However, nothing too great or phenomenal
Did enjoy reading through a male pov though, learnt a few things about youth psychology

This book was utterly so boring. Save yourself some time and go watch the Hindi movie, 3 Idiots, which is immensely well-executed, intriguing, delightful, and asks the real questions.

Adapted into a film we all love, 3 Idiots, I was excited to pick this book up again for the first time after a decade (love a good re-read). I am a much stronger reader now and oh boy, that really just translates to an inability to overlook things.
While entertaining enough, I had a few key issues with this book. Can you imagine reading a book where the protagonist has no personality? Yeah, me neither, yet that’s somehow what happened here. I have no idea how the author pulled that one off.
The only thing I *can* tell you about the main character is how horrifically misogynistic he is! From complaining about dating “too traditional” of a girl, but she’s so beautiful so it’s fine! To offhand comments about only staying with her for her body, I was gagging.
Furthermore, the important part about realistic fiction…is the realistic bit! And that’s where Bhagat missed the mark quite a few times. Some of the shenanigans in the novel were just a little too dumb, a little too far, to be believable.
That being said, I was entertained, so it wasn’t a total waste of time. Pick this up if you love 3 Idiots and want to see the original story of our favorite IIT boys.
