For the school cultural festival, Komi and her classmates decide to do a Maid Cafe, somewhat so they can see Komi in a maid outfit, and somewhat because that’s what Komi chooses and everyone band wagons her. Somehow, Tadano is convinced to also dress in a maid costume, and he doesn’t look half bad. Najimi uses several illicit money making schemes, most involving Komi, so her class wins the best of show but has to forfeit all their profits.
There are a lot of boob jokes, including a bonus story discussing Tadano’s fake ones. Certain characters are still obsessed with Komi and seeing her underwear. While I appreciate the series for focusing on communication disorders, I can’t help but wonder what it would be like if the main character weren’t beautiful. Why do all her classmates adore her and put her on a pedestal, especially since she doesn't talk to any of them? It’s because she’s pretty. This series is just as much about looks as it is about sympathizing with people who have communication disorders. The majority of the art is again in the four-panels-per-page layout. While some students will probably still enjoy this series by volume five, I will be devoting my time to other worthy endeavors.

Iba a restarle una estrella de no ser por el final que me pareció tierno, pero fue terriblemente turbio el tema de Yamai y su obsesión con Komi. Si ya es turbio desde un principio, ahora más.

Highlights
➽ I loved seeing Komi actually get jealous of Tadano's friends for the first time, especially as he was her first real friend! Onemine Nene is a very mature girl and a good friend to Tadano. She's sceptical about Komi and mistakes her anxiety for arrogance. In the end, Tadano urges her to give Komi a chance and Onemine becomes her friend! (She also ships Tadano and Komi, so I immediately liked her!)
➽ A big part of this volume is the school's culture festival! Komi's class is deciding on what to plan and ends up choosing Komi's idea of a maid cafe! During the preparations Komi ends up spending more time with Onemine and Otori, the latter is always doing something dangerous when you're not looking 😂
➽ The maid cafe itself is a huge success and of course, everyone is swooning over Komi wearing a maid outfit! There are lots of shenanigans as Najimi tries to monetize the cafe to an absurd degree and a maid cafe expert called Akido is absolutely floored by the class' performance! Tadano ends up wearing a maid outfit as well at Najimi's insistence and despite being embarrassed, I thought it suited him!
