Murder Inn was interesting, I liked the convergence of the crimes but there was too much killing without trying alternatives.
Black and Blue was better. Nice to see the pieces come together but I wouldn't consider it a thriller.

This book was actually two books.  The first was The Murder Inn, which was ok, not as good as other Patteron’s, but a fast and easy read.  The second book was Black &  Blue which I definitely enjoyed more.  There weren’t really any twists, but it seemed to have a better pace and hooked you faster in the beginning.  Like I said, both were typical Patterson’s, if you enjoy his books you’ll probably like this one.
