Wholesome but the thing with Ali Hazelwood books is that they're very formulaic. There's very little variety in the kinds of characters she writes and while they're relatable and grounded, it gets saturated and old very quickly. Moreover, much of word count is covered by the main character's anxiety-fueled ramblings, which is a pattern for all her female MCs, but was especially pronounced in this one. Felt as if she just wanted to hit the word limit with it. That said, I still had a good time with it. For someone like me, this was a one-day read, for more seasoned readers, it'll be a one-sitting read. However, I suggest reading it after a good length of break from Ali Hazelwood's other books if you're a fan. It's really just more of the same thing. 3/5

Ali Hazelwood has had me in a chokehold all year. Something about her writing and romances have me giggling and kicking my feet. I wish there had been more banter and I have no clue what happened with Liam's job but over cute, bonus points for the exclusive bonus chapter my collection had. Liam is peak "I love my wife" energy.
