Much better than Final Girls, and far creepier too. Mustn't have read the blurb properly because the puppets came as a horrible surprise. Literally my nightmare. Also really enjoyed the sibling dynamic: each one thinking the other is the perfect favourite, can relate.

This book gave me anxiety attacks and I had to walk away from it more than once. What more can you ask for in horror? TW: If you are not a fan of dolls, this book will do you no favors.

"Kakaweewee!" I finished the book! I was expecting a totally different story based on the title. This was my first book by this author and well... what a ride! The book changed and ramped up about halfway through. It wasn't the sort of subject I would typically be drawn to but it was more like an adult version of a Goosebumps book I read as a teen. Grady Hendrix is a wonderful writer and could make you lose yourself in the absurdness of the story.
This story wasn't something I would read everyday but it was a nice twilight zone-ish change of pace.

I had a hard time with this one. The story was great but it was really hard to get through. I felt like it was really drawn out.
