I am so happy J.L. Weil decided to write a spin-off series from the Divisa series. The Devisa series was the first series I read by the talented J.L. Weil. I am elated to be able to read and review this spin-off.
Before reading this book, I had to jog my memory of the Divisa series. You don't need to read the Divisa series as this can be read alone. I forgot how feisty Lexi is. Once her mind is set on something, nothing will get in her way. She is a strong and determined woman.I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Read this in half a day!! Love Lexi and Ashor!!! I can’t wait for the next one or hopefully five books in this series!
The chemistry between Lexi and Ashor is immediate and intense, no matter how much she tries to deny it or ignore it. Lexi’s strength and quick wit makes her fierce and instantly a girl you want in your corner.

Welcome back to the Divisa universe! I absolutely loved the original series and am excited to be back with a whole new story and new characters to love. Give me all the broody dark guys who just want to destroy the world!

Best book I've read in a while
I absolutely loved this book the twist and turns and slow burn romance is perfect, demons need I say more can't wait fornthe next book to come out .

The beginning was a but rough ( the main character liked to repeat herself) but once you got past the first chapter or so it was much better. The plot line was entertaining but I knew where it was headed. This didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story. I was annoyed at how much she was left in the dark but loved that she always fought back. I will continue with book 2.
