This was a fun and spicy read! I had very strong feelings of loathing toward every single side character! They all seemed despicable! But the main characters were incredibly endearing. The way it was written with dual timelines had me flipping the pages non stop!

“I fell for you without noticing, because it didn't feel like falling, it felt like standing. So fucking high.”

This book has such a special place in my heart. This is about Amelie, an incredible chef who can't seem to catch a break. It felt like all at once her life went from great to unimaginable. You can't help but feel so bad for her.
From her "best friend" stealing her wedding ideas… literally from the venue to her WEDDING DRESS!!?
WHAT? To her boyfriend 😡😡 don't even get me started on him.

Ian Roberts is a saving grace. Top tier book boyfriend. 😍
His unpopular opinions, jokes, banter, compassion, all of him is amazing and you can't help but fall in love with him.

I really enjoyed the timeline, it was so unique and not at all confusing!

This was a very slow paced book but an old friend said it's meant to be read slow so you can enjoy it and enjoy it I did!
I didn't know what to do with myself after I was done reading it, I immediately missed Amelie and Ian.

A Gabs recommendation has never  let me down!!!

Needs a little bit of patience with all the back and forth between past and present timeline in addition to the almost 500 pages and not one but two big complications, but it pays off. Adored both Amelie and Ian and am especially a sucker for a good “don’t marry him”-moment.

What a cute, heart warming, and punny read - that's right I said it.

Ian's quick wit, unpopular opinions, and toddler eating habits made him so lovable, and his desire to teach Amelie her value and to never settle, made him one of my favorite MMCs. There were so many beautiful things said and great lessons about true love and what it means to choose someone every.single.day. I have to be honest, there were times my stomach was in knots and then I was giggling at something ridiculous the next minute.

If you don't like cheesy one liners, this might not be for you...but the way it was done in this book and between these 2 made my heart happy. I have to say, and I don't know if anyone else will have this experience, but all I could picture for Frank, was Frank from Outlander...and mannnnnn did that add to my dislike for the man.
