It was better than Mr. Miracle, but I'm sad all the relationship development happened before the story started. Just kissing a lot isn't much for me to base my expectations for their long term happiness on. So I wasn't able to get very attached or invested. I like Luke Daniels as a narrator. Laurel Rankin's performance lacked emotion and life for most of the performance.

Although this is one of my favorite authors, this was not one of my favorite books. The writing seemed rushed with multiple concepts and even whole phrases repeated, and the story was very superficial. I wonder if this author has reached a point where she is just cranking out the books so quickly that she has lost the touch of personality and heart she used to have. I'm still looking forward to her next book, but this one just didn't do it for me.

Meh this one was just ok for me. I didn't really connect with these characters and I'm not sure why. Maybe it was because when the book started I felt like I was missing something. Who knows I enjoy Debbie's books and will continue to pick them up from time to time but sadly this one I will probably forget all about in a few days.

I was in the mood for an easy, cozy story, and this was exactly what I needed. With my cup of tea and my blanket, I curled up on the couch and read this from front to back.

I've always been drawn to stories that take place in Alaska, especially holiday ones

Josie is a cook who spent the summer in a remote Alaskan town and she strikes up a romance with a local man. Then she misses the last boat out of the town. Eventually she makes it to her new job in Seattle and realizes she wants to go back. Then her love interest comes down and they get together.

This was an enjoyable read. This is my 5th Debbie Macomber book that I have read, and I really enjoy her books. This is one of her Christmas books. I thought the story was interesting. I really liked the characters. Palmer is a great character. He is patient and willing to anything for Josie. I had to take some time to get used to Josie, and this might be because she is more focused on her career than her relationship with Palmer. The secondary characters, such as Jack was a great addition. I thought that he was funny. I thought the ending was heartwarming. I can't wait to read more of Debbie's books. Overall, a great read.

Cute beach read with not a lot of substance. Loved learning about Alaska.

It was a great heartfelt story. Somethings I wish were different would be the geographical information. I know its fiction. But having been to Alaska, some of the landmarks were off. I also wish it was longer, or there needs to be a sequel.
