Listen. This book made me feel all the feels. And I loved that. The MFC left a little to be desired when it comes to connecting with her, but I felt every inch of her grief & I appreciate TJR’s writing to make me feel that!

I really enjoyed the exploration of grief and change in the first half, but the second half fell flat for me.

It was a nice read. It gave me a new outlook on True Love. Specially how we can have more than one & that it doesn’t always last a lifetime. And that just because it ends it doesn’t mean it wasn’t meant to be.

Ni de lejos es mi libro favorito de Taylor Jenkins Reid, pero me ha gustado el final.

Taylor Jenkins Reid is seeming to write more novels based on specific time periods, but her backlist contains stories with such evocative and profound wisdom about love and relationships.

We learn of the two separate love stories that Emma is lucky enough to have found. Her first being with Jesse, her high school sweetheart who she goes on amazing adventures with. After he disappears in an accident, her world crumbles and she seeks asylum back at home with her family. That's when she runs into Sam, another person from her past who she finds love with again - something she did not think was possible. When Jesse is rescued three years after his disappearance, Emma is caught in an impossible position. The author is able to convey the overwhelming emotion, conflicting feelings, and boundless love that Emma, Sam, and Jesse experience throughout the course of this difficult process. There is no clear right or wrong answer, and someone will ultimately get hurt.

I really enjoyed taking this emotional, but love-filled ride with Emma, Sam, and Jesse.
