The Paris Apartment is a classic style slow burning, claustrophobic mystery which kept me on edge and constantly curious throughout.

While it may seem that not a lot actually happens within the first half of the book, Foley is cleverly crafting a web of mystery which unravels at the end for quite a few enjoyable ah-ha moments.

My favourite part of this book was the writing of the building itself. Lucy's luscious and detailed descriptions left me feeling like I was immersed in the penthouses' luxury, running across the open courtyard and skulking around the back stairs and cave.

I switched between my kindle and the audiobook and found the full cast to be fantastic and they really sunk the Parisienne aspect home.

An enjoyable mystery which had me fully immersed throughout.

Lucy Foley has, once again, delivered a taught thriller that keeps the pages turning. The residents of the titular Paris apartment are dynamic and well-developed. My only criticism is the comical number of times that characters are referenced with cigarettes. It's almost...too... stereotypically French.
