I liked the structure of the book but the story was all over the place and the ending was so far fetched.
Didn’t connect with any of the characters.

3.5* .
It was pretty twisty and i liked that but there were a lot of cringey parts that felt a bit unnecessary .
Still - as a thriller , it’s enjoyable .

So I’ve tried to read this authors other books and for some reason never quite got the hype. This one though! This book had me hooked from the beginning and I absolutely needed to know what was going to happen. I loved the different perspectives from all the characters. The French theme amazing as well. Love love loved this!

I don’t recommend the audiobook to this and maybe that’s why I didn’t care for it. I also feel like this story had so much potential but it fell flat? I dont know, it was hard to keep up with all the POVs so by the end I just wanted to know who the F did it. Also, I can’t ever seem to DNF books no matter what, so that’s on me.

I originally rated this 3 stars but now that I’m writing my thoughts down, I’m gonna change it to 2 stars.

For me this book had a good potential and was at times entertaining, but much like the guest list, I felt that the wordy narration and overdramatic characterizations left me a bit underwhelmed.

Really loved this! The characters were interesting and especially in the first half of the book, I felt tense reading Jess' chapters and having no idea in how much danger of being murdered she was. The second half didn't feel as tense to me, but the secrets that were revealed kept getting darker and I enjoyed it start to finish!
