Lynn Painter has done it again.

The main character, Emilie, experiences the worst Valentine’s Day and wakes up the next day realizing that she is reliving the same day over and over again.  While trying to escape the time loop, she keeps bumping into Nick, her Chem lab partner. The story follows when the two spend a day together to go on an adventure of exploring and experiencing new things.

It’s my first time reading a book with this kind of plot. That's why I found this book to be very interesting. The chemistry was just so lovely, it didn’t take much effort to love and get attached to them. Nick’s grand gesture was so sweet, it also made me fall for him. It was nice to see Emilie’s character develop as she learns a very important life lesson and embraces life without having everything to be perfect. It was also a bit emotional, but mostly I was laughing and blushing while reading it.

Nobody does YA like Lynn Painter! I loved this book, the time loop was so fun and I had the best time reading it! The reason for the time loop was so heartwarming and made the story come together beautifully!

Pretty solid YA HS romance. ML was lonely/broody and blunt (swore a lot lol). I really appreciated that it WASN’T “bad boy helps good girl loosen up”, more like, “good girl naturally becomes unhinged and drags bad boy along for the ride”. It was a fun dynamic, and I liked all the characters. The book’s greatest flaw was not being as good as Painter’s other book, ‘Better Than the Movies’
