Very introspective book. This was one that I took a long time with because I wanted to truly take my time with each part and absorb all the advice, not just rush through. It focuses on a lot of mindfulness practices as well as meditation technique. Key focuses I really appreciated were •understanding that healing comes from allowing space for things to fall apart and come together over and over rather than trying to solve everything •the outbreath is the closest we can come to a resting mind in its open state •the goal is not to get rid of the chatter, just to elongate the periods of silence in between • when you have a big emotion, acknowledge it, but don't fan it by telling everyobe or giving it storylines • to live is to be willing to die over and over again
