Well, I don't know what to think. The bad guys are the good guys and the good guys are the bad guys. No they're all bad guys. I need to reread the Lux series again and I'm very curious to see what happens next. I hope it will help tie these together more. I need it to!

This wasn't nearly as good as the Lux series, however it was so great to read about the arum and get more information on both the arum and the luxen. I also liked getting to know Hunter, who was in Origin, and I'm guessing will be in Opposition. However this story wasn't amazing, it just didn't have the extra something that I was looking for. The plot went a little too fast, and this whole possessive " you are mine forever, I claimed her, he claimed me" really angers me. People are not objects, you do not claim or own somebody, and I really hate reading relationships like that. Overall, this gave me good insight into the Lux world, and I'm glad that I read it.

HOLY SMEXY HUNTER!!!!

I normally love Jennifer's stuff, but I had a hard time liking the heroine, Serena, in this one. Something about her just got on my nerves. Still though, I did like this glimpse into the other side of the Arum/Luxen conflict. It's always interesting when an author takes a character/group that you have only seen portrayed as the bad guy(s) and then flips that on it's head.

While I enjoyed this book I just didn't quite love it as much as her other stuff. I felt a lot of it was sex, or the two of them just thinking about sex.

Serena – 23, blond, 5’5”, freckles, brown eyes

Hunter - Tall, dark hair, pale blue eyes, 6’5”, 31

Liked this book a lot actually. Had the same flow and story line as the Lux series but I liked getting the side told from an Arum.

Hunter and Serena are older and I think that's why I enjoyed this more. Not that I didn't like Daemon and Katy but it was nice to have a change in the characters. The ending was a nice wrap up but I wouldn't mind another book about these two.
