Another fabulous mystery from Agatha Christie, but far more of an adventure than I expected compared to her other novels; the pacing is quite different and feels more akin to a Doctor Who serial than Poirot’s measured deductions.

I found this mystery a little slow at first (and missed the presence of Poirot!) but it was ultimately a lot of fun - looking forward to more of the series!

I sort of guessed where it was going but it still surprised me! Really enjoyed.

I loved the historical aspect of the book, but I realised that I wasn't really interested in who Jane Finn was and the whole chase.

Sorry Agatha, it's a no from me. Just not enough to keep me interested.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is the second book Agatha Christie wrote, and the second one I read of hers. The main detectives were different from in the first book. I enjoyed these characters (not as much as I like Poirot), and thought that they added another element to the book. There was a subtle love story with the two detectives, Tommoy and Tuppence. I enjoyed this aspect, and they brought young, relatable views to the mystery.
The ending was really good! The whole time the I was puzzling to find out who Mr. Brown was, and when I found out I was saying "WHAT?!" I was not dissatisfied with who it was, I was just shocked. Agatha Christie does such a good job with plot twists and false leads.
