Alyssa lent me her copy, all marked-up! It was a fun, fast read, possibly more enjoyable for its connection to Alyssa than for the book itself. (Not one of Christie's more mystifying mysteries.) I raced right through it.

This is one of my favorites of Agatha Christie's works yet! It's a thrilling tale that follows endless twists and turns.

Two young friends get thrown headfirst into an international plot, but they have to figure out what's going on step by step from the deep end. Tuppence and Tommy have to be quick on their toes to make their way out alive.

While I typically have no idea who the killer or crook is in her novels, this time I had an idea, yet even still Agatha Christie pulled a couple of bait-and-switches on me, surprising me after all!

This book is a great starting point for anyone wanting to read mystery generally or Agatha Christie specifically.

re-read and review
medium-paced

Fun, light, and definitely better for someone who wants to be immersed in 20's London, rather than in a hard-core cozy mystery (is that an oxymoron?) Thoroughly enjoyable, if not Christie's most clever puzzle.

It was a bit twee for a spy thriller

This was fine. The banter between Tommy and Tuppence in the beginning is 5 stars, but once that was done, the story was a bit boring.
