An okay read, not one of Sandford’s best. The Clue game bit was hokey and hard to take seriously. Flowers and Trane were a good pair.

Virgil is called in to the Twin Cities to investigate the murder of a University professor. Virgil and his BCA cohorts are always fun and the narration of the audio by Eric Conger was well done.

I don’t know how John Sandford almost always manages to keep me guessing until the end, but I’m so glad he does. The latest Virgil book didn’t have the typical chapters from the killer’s perspective and I think that helped keep the tension high - never knowing what the bad guy was thinking. I can’t wait for the next Prey novel in the spring!

3.0 stars, which is a pretty low rating from me for a Sandford book! I love Virgil, but this book is as not a page turner like the prior books. Okay, not great.

Great!
John Sandford never disappoints and this book is no exception! I can’t wait to read the next one in either series.

Oh My!
Just when you think you know where the book is going. Bam twist, and then woosh another direction. Leaving you wonderfully dizzy and laughing out loud.
