Voor nu leg ik toch echt even dit boek aan de kant om hopelijk zo snel mogelijk weer een nieuwe poging te ondernemen om de rest van de hoofdstukken te lezen.

Deel 1 [b:Fourth Wing|61431922|Fourth Wing (The Empyrean, #1)|Rebecca Yarros|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1701980900l/61431922._SY75_.jpg|96945623] was echt 1 van mijn favoriete boeken om te lezen, maar dit deel is echt nog als een blok aan mijn been. Ik kom er niet makkelijk doorheen, het heeft een tijd mijn plezier van lezen weggehaald en werd gek van dat Violet Xaden niet wilde vergeven, terwijl je uiteraard al weet dat ze dat wel gaat doen.

Serie heeft echt wel potentie en ik lees overal dat zeker de laatste hoofdstukken het lezen waard zijn, maar ik kan die energie en doorzettingsvermogen er voor nu niet naar toe zetten. Dus! Word vervolgd als ik weer moed en tijd verzameld heb.

So it took me like a year and a half to actually finish this oops. I stopped with 120 pages left right before it started getting good. Idk why I always do that. Anyways it was gonna be a 3.5 but rose to a 4 with the last 100 pages. Compared to Fourth Wing I feel like not much happened to keep me hooked, hence why I stopped.

Xaden and Violet constantly fighting got quite annoying. Like I know communication is important and everything but why did it take them the whole book to sort things out. AND NOW after that ending wtf is gonna happen to all that trust they built. Kinda scared to go into onyx storm but very intrigued.

I will always love how intelligent Violet is cause how she figures things out so quickly in this book is beyond me. I also loved how the fliers and riders slowly merged together and started to trust and become one, especially Cat.

Anyways I'm just glad none of my favs died, yet, at least.
