Wow this was long. The first half of the book could have been shaved a lot. The constant repetition throughout of Violet feeling guilty over her actions and taking on guilt for some that weren’t her fault got a little boring, as did Violet and Xaden’s constant arguments over whether they trust/love each other. I hated the whole Cat storyline because surely we should be past women hating each other because of a man?! Events that should have had a bit more drama about them got lost in the general messiness of the plot.

The second half was a bit better but still quite messy. There are a lot of new characters to keep track of, as well as new bits of world building but the major battle was good.

In summary, a lot of filler to get through for five minutes of decent action!
