I really loved Fourth Wing and Iron Flame is so far my favorite of the series so far. It did seem very rushed, and my copy had a few errors, but I was able to read through it without issue or missing the plot.
I feel like Andarna was just thrown to the side, there could have been so much more she could do for the plot but instead for half the book she was "sleeping". I feel like this was done so that Violet wouldn't be able to ask her questions Tairn wouldn't/couldn't answer. The end seemed very rushed.
I loved the romance in this book more. "My house. My chair. My woman." PHEEEWWW
However, if Xaden dies... I will be heartbroken!

I found the first half a bit of a drag but enjoyed how it picked up in the second. I don’t love the main characters—I feel like I’ve read the Violet/Xaden relationship (and the same exact characters) in a dozen other books but I’m enjoying the world. Definitely intrigued to see what happens in the next book.
