Still cannot stand Xaden and Violet… she’s beyond annoying to me as a main character but the plot has me hooked and I’ll definitely finish the series just to know what happens.

They did lose me a bit on this one. Now I think it’s because I can’t read the action sequences mainly because I CANNOT keep up with where these dragons are and what they are doing it makes no sense. And because this book has SO MANY ACTION SEQUENCES I got lost quite frequently.
However I am anxiously awaiting the next book. I do love a good cliffhanger that doesn’t impede on my mental stability.

So far, this is my favourite in the series. Violet absolutely steals the show in this book, I love her character so much. She was right to keep doubting Xaden because he was still hiding things from her.
The best part though is definitely the secrets and plotting and scheming. I enjoyed not knowing who was evil and who was ignorant.
I found Cat very annoying, but I think her redemption was satisfying.
The ending also almost took me out the first time I read it.
One of my all-time favourite books, 5 stars!

The only thing stopping this from being another “LETS FUCKING GO” is that it was like 200 pages too long but I LOVE YOU ANDARNA welcome back Toothless
