The Isaac story was infuriating. I wish she took the opportunity to do the right thing.

We finally get the Will and Beckett story! I was so intrigued by their mystery in previous books. Buuuuut Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy this one. It felt way too long, and the story dragged more than it needed to. I usually enjoy Elle Kennedy’s writing, but this book just didn’t hold my attention.

Will and Beckett who like to share, find THE one but are graduating and finding themselves taking very different paths. Will is going into politics and Beckett wants to go back to his home country/continent (Australia). Charlie (THE one and best they’ve ever had) struggles with her newly discovered sexual kink and personal life. She’s found a brother!

The spicy scenes were too much and gladly skipped.

This felt like an Elle Kennedy burnout for me

This was my first “why choose” romance and I went in a little nervous, not gonna lie. I wasn’t sure if it was my thing... but wow. Turns out, it very much is. This book completely surprised me in the best way and has easily become one of my top reads of the year (even if it’s not a forever favorite, it’s definitely a five-star experience).

The writing is genuinely solid, the pacing is great, and the storytelling was great (I mean...Elle Kennedy). And the love interests!!! Perfection. I didn’t expect to fall for both of them equally, but here we are. They’re very different in personality, but both are kind, loyal, and totally devoted and the dynamic just works.

Charlie herself is so relatable. As a fellow people-pleaser with chronic self-doubt, I saw a lot of myself in her. Watching her grow, set boundaries, and embrace her worth was incredibly satisfying and lowkey therapeutic.

Highly recommend if you’re curious about the “why choose” genre.

Hehehe...
I’m absolutely obsessed with these characters.

Returning to the world of Briar U with this new generation wasn’t something I expected to love as much as I did—but I’m so glad I gave it a chance.
There’s something comforting about being back in this world, and The Charlie Method did a great job of honoring that without relying too heavily on nostalgia. I especially loved the cameos and subtle mentions of past characters. It felt natural, like we were just catching glimpses of old friends living their lives in the background, rather than being forcefully inserted.
It was the perfect balance of familiar and fresh.

Now, onto the sexual tension and chemistry between all the characters… it was everything. I absolutely loved every interaction—whether it was playful banter, emotionally charged moments, or the steamy scenes that had me hooked. The connection felt natural and electric, and what really stood out was how the chemistry didn’t just serve the spice—it helped deepen their emotional bonds too.
Each character had their own story and journey, and grew both individually and within the relationship. Watching them navigate feelings, boundaries, and vulnerability made the romance feel layered and satisfying—not just about the heat (though there was plenty), but about trust, growth, and something real.

Not gonna lie, I picked this book up as a palate cleanser from all my heavy fantasy reads—but I did not expect to feel so much. What I thought would be a fun, spicy break ended up hitting me right in the feels in the best way.
Would definitely read again.
