What’s better than one book boyfriend? Two book boyfriends!!
I absolutely loved this book. Each of the characters had their own personal battles they were fighting along with coming to terms with their relationship with each other and how to make it work. Charlie might be one of my favorite FMCs. The struggle of needing to people please and maintain perfection for others is very relatable.
There were times it felt uneven with the POVs (very Beckett heavy in the middle and it had me wondering what happened to Will’s). This may have been purposeful since Charlie and Will had a connection right away and Charlie was more annoyed with Beckett at first so the author wanted to focus on their budding relationship, but it felt like Will fell into the background until the very end.

As per yuj, I'm throwing myself in the middle of what seems to be not only an ongoing series but a spinoff at that - oops!?
I belatedly realized that I even have a couple from the original series in my library, still haven't read them - oops redux.
This is my first read by Elle Kennedy, it's certainly inspired me to tackle the existing titles in my TBR/library.

3.5⭐️ Sadly, this is my least favorite in the series. I wasn’t a big fan of the FMC, maybe because I found her too relatable.

I enjoyed the first half and was into the MFM takes. But the last act didn’t click into place for me. I liked how the writer wanted to break stereotypes but I wanted some third person to test their ties. I expected the ex or sorority to damage her reputation but it didn’t surface. Some of the sex was not that interesting.

I really loved the two mmc in the previous books so was looking forward to their book.
We understand more about their families and backgrounds, seeing beneath the stereotypical hockey facade. Even though there is no romance between them, they clearly care for each other and it's sweet to see them interacting.
The fmc was a new addition to this cast. She had strong public and private personalities that differed greatly.
There was the usual sexy scenes and funny banter between both the younger and older hockey male characters.
I really wanted to like this book, but it just didn't clock for me personally. I think it's because I just couldn't relate to the fmc. There isn't anything I can say was done poorly or badly, but I just didn't love it like I do with her other books. I will continue to read anything that she writes and this is just my personal opinion
