Definitely different than the other books or a standard romance, but it was a nice change especially with how many books Elle Kennedy now has in this universe. I liked that each character had their own story that was stuck with throughout, although it got a little clunky at the end as you could tell the author was trying to wrap it up in a way that worked for all the characters. There was also a lack of other characters in the universe, namely the the other hockey players or hockey in general which separated this book more. I’ll always enjoy jumping back into this universe though, and enjoyed these characters.

5 ⭐️’s. I am an Elle Kennedy girly. I loved her other two series and absolutely ate up this book. Charlotte Kingston is one of my favorite Briar U girls. This story was just good. It was steamy, it was real it was just everything I wanted it to be and more.
Had a great time reading Charlie and the Boy’s story. It had me kicking my feet and giggling during the highs of the story and emotionally invested during the lows.
Ready for whatever EK has in store for us next. Will probably always be an auto read/ buy author now.
