I have serious mixed feelings about this book. It seemed really long and pointless but then the last 10% after Charlie got her head out of her ass I was sort of invested. I liked the guys a lot but they felt a little too perfect/unrealistic. Romance felt flat. For most of the book I was banging my head against the wall and questioning dnfing. I actually felt more invested in the side stories (her sorority little’s romance and the fanfic her classmate was writing) than Charlie’s story. Usually this author is an instant read for me but this one really fell short.

Ok so I have very mixed feelings about this which is unusual because I normally LOVE Elle Kennedy books, and I liked both the Graham Effect and the Dixon Rule more than I thought I would but this one just fell a bit flat...
There wasn't as big of a focus on the hockey as normal which was sort of disappointing, and the whole relationship just felt a bit imbalanced and like we got a lot more from Beckett compared to Will which seemed sort of off.It was as if it was gearing up to have Will go off on his own at the end because, let's face it, that ending was a bit too perfect. Three 20-somethings who've been dating 6 months all move to Sydney together and everything works out? please
That said, loved Charlie and loved her storyline with her family and heritage, and Beckett and Will were great, I just had higher expectations and the HEA was a bit unbelievable for me.
The cameo appearances of Hollis and Dad Chat were a solid 10/10 though and are always hilarious

This was my first book exploring a polyamory relationship. I have loved reading the Briar books. I appreciate the world and the characters that Elle Kennedy has created. While this particular book might not be to everyone’s taste, I feel it was the perfect addition to the Briar University series.
So much irrelevant stuff included. Found myself skipping through pages to make it go quicker and I decided to just DNF.
