For the first in the series, I liked it. Left me intrigued and ready to jump straight into book 2.

Decent intro to the series, albeit a bit bumpy in some spots. There are some writing quirks that kind of bug me, but I'm definitely going to continue the series.

It's been years since I have read "The Dark Tower" series. This was a fun to read and got me thinking I should re-read them all over again. The only thing that I have to say about this particular graphic novel is the Eddie Dean did not look like the Eddie I always pictured in my head. The artist that have been painting mid-world have every thing else spot on.

This series is held in high regard by the nerds like me who actually kind of like Star Trek novels but this first volume is kind of a slog and its taken me months to actually finish despite weighing in at a slight 167 pages.

The first half, despite being the more action packed half, is actually less engaging than the second which mostly consists of characters sitting around conference tables.

It does pick up substantially in the last thirty pages or so though so I'm excited to keep going.

Loved it. It was like visiting old friends and meeting thier new roommates who are just as wonderful. I laughed out loud many times. The action was gripping. Fantastic easy read.
