A fun read that I didn't think would get as much laughs out of me.

I loved the angsty free-spirit and mom pairing, it is not one we see often and usually one benefits more than the other with the other storyline almost too simple or lacking. I felt like both Delilah and Claire were well designed to feel like actual people with actual things going on in their life that feel big, regardless if they are big to everyone around them.

I don't usually care for miscommunication tropes, but it was just set up with so much background that you could see how the character's got to that point because of miscommunication and how it affected them.

There were some flashback parts at the beginning that seemed a bit awkward and there was a small dip in pacing in the middle of the book where the author was setting up for the end and all of the big feelings. But nothing that really ruined my experience.

Certainly worth a read if you are a sucker for queer friend group finding love series or if you are just looking for a funny romance with a some heavier feelings involved.

This book was a great mix of serious, emotional, funny, and light-hearted. I really enjoyed it! It was sexy and fun, but it still took the emotions and the protagonist's complex pasts into account.  I loved that one protagonist had a kid and that Ruby, that kid wasn't left out of the relationship. I want Deliah to be my stepmom, LOL. Overall a good book!

Sometimes you pick up a romcom not realising it's a romcom and you're not mad about it

A cute, fun and lighthearted sapphic romance with complex characters that are really loveable and who you find yourself rooting for throughout!

Have you ever read a romance book that had you sighing like a teenager reading Twilight for the first time? I hadn’t- until I read this book.

This is the cutest book ever, and I’m not typically a romance fan. It had lesbians, bisexuals, a favourite trope of mine (the dating bet trope), a small amount of angst, a ton of love and heart and joy.

Delilah is such a lovely character and honestly I loved her development. I think that it’s a really interesting arc for her- going from being bitter and lonely to opening up and also realising just how much grief can blind you. I think she and Isabel are two sides of the same coin, which is why they don’t get along, but where Isabel controls Astrid, Delilah controls herself.

Also Claire is toooootally my type. She’s such a sweetheart and it’s nice having a plus sized woman be so happy and loved and confident in herself. I really liked Astrid and Iris too. Watching Claire come out of her shell and learn to trust others is really gorgeous.

The smut is soooooo good 👀 not over the top but gentle and sweet and pretty hot too. An instant favourite and I cannot wait for the sequels! Especially the next book with Astrid as the main lady.
