I almost didn’t give this a chance. Wanting to give up when I read the author describe the characters as “white women,” it just bothered me so much. I’m glad I didn’t give up though, I did not expect this book to make me laugh or cry as much as I did. Definitely deserves the 5 stars!

( I listened to the audiobook of this so I will also be talking about to narrator's performance)
before reading Deliah Green I had only read one of Ashley's middle-grade books I gave it 5 stars and it made my little queer heart happy but I was craving something more I was craving romance but because said book is a middle-grade book I knew I wasn't going to get that so when I heard about Delilah Green I knew I'd love it and would have to pick it up. this book exceeded my exceptions by a mile I loved this book so much that as soon as I finished it I wanted to pick it up and read it again and I instantly bought Astrid Parker and Pre-ordered Iris Kelly in audio and physical books. the romance the spice everything was just ahhhh this is by far one of my favorite sapphic romances I've ever read.
Kristen DiMercurio is the perfect narrator she captures the character's personalities and emotions perfectly and somehow makes the book so much more atmospheric than it already was on its own

Very fun and cute read! I loved the romance, and the side plots added some nice depth to the story.

I ended up loving this book way more than I thought I would.
I don't often read contemporary romance because it's predictable, usually full of tropes I'm not crazy about, and often has me sitting there wishing I could shake the characters into being less stupid or selfish.
All of those things were true with this one, too, but it was written in a way I still found enjoyable. The characters had me simultaneously wishing I could shake them, while still being endearing and sometimes relatable. Each character was fleshed out with their own voices, which I loved. Even characters with similar personalities didn't feel like copy and paste versions of each other.
The relationships between everyone were messy, sometimes dramatic, and complicated but it gave the characters depth and felt believable instead of just feeling like it was there to add meaningless tension.
This book had me laughing, occasionally choked up, shaking my head, while still rooting for everyone to get their happily ever afters.

I actually don't give five stars to a romance read often, but I really loved this one! Often I find contemporary romance to be cringy and predictable but this one was a lot of fun.

Delilah and Claire are completely different love interests but they seem to bring out the strengths they have in each other. I also really appreciated that both main characters *and* the group of side characters were all pretty developed and not just one dimensional characters that exist only to drive the plot forward. I wanted to know more about Astrid, Delilah's sister. I wanted to know more about Josh, the father of Claire's daughter.

I also really appreciated the plot to the story was something other than the relationship between the two. I think that having this inclusive plot was what aided in me wanting to get to know all of the characters and have a vested interest in what happens to everyone. It also gave the book depth which again, many contemporary romances do not have.

The sapphic spicy scenes weren't cringy or forced or even the same every time and were just what my little queer heart appreciated. This was such a fun read, worth all five stars.

I loved everything about this book. Beautifully written, beautifully narrated—just achingly BEAUTIFUL.

I highly recommend this contemporary romance, I could not put it down. It was sensual, sexy—at times heart breaking—but made me laugh and smile in equal measure.

A couple of quotes that ended me:

“All the more reason you deserve good things”

“Delilah could feel the imperfections in Claire’s skin, soft ridges that felt like stretch marks, and they felt like heaven to her. Sexy and curvy and perfect.”
