The title is very accurate. This book upsets the status quo of the previous novels in a big way, really seeing the pay-off of several character arcs. The novels just keep getting better!
I always forget for heart-wrenchingly good this book is.
The saddest of the series I've read so far. Very well named. Dresden gets kind of scary a few curve balls are thrown in to the mix and is high chances that you will cry. (I've read this book 2-3 times cried each time). But boy that ending.... On to the next.
After a series has been around for awhile, you really need to change it up a bit. While it's nice to have that routine to reading through it, eventually it'll get stale for you. The writing may be amazing, but you'll have started to grow bored because of routine.
Oh my word, did this change things. So much answered, but enough left unanswered that there's definitely room for more. It'll be interesting to see where the story goes from here.

This book was better than a 5/5, it was a 11/10. I started this book wondering why everyone was saying that it's the best Dresden Files novel and thinking that possibly I just wouldn't get it. Half way through this book, my mind was changed. I was laughing and crying back to back then screaming at characters as if I could do anything. I flew through the end of this book, I couldn't put it down because so much was happening. This was one of the best stories that I have ever read. Period.

This was an emotional book. Another book where we learn a lot about those who are involved in Dresden's life, about his family and his growth as a character.
