I will never look at ghee the same again. Really loved this touching story turned mystery about an English writing class that becomes much much more. I would say 3.5 stars for sure.

This book was trying to do way too much. The introduction of the mystery felt clunky and forced. The lengthy passages of erotica were cringey at times and I ended up skipping several. The characters, while attempting to be feminist, often felt reductive and cliche.
I was very hopeful at the beginning because the story was funny and quirky. I was anticipating a “Calendar Girls” vibe, but the story just became a mess.

such a fun read!!! Could not put this book down, listened to it whenever I had time. The story is incredibly engaging and the characters are so lovable. I liked how it was part murder mystery and part romance novel. The book was contextualized incredibly well and made the characters relatable and funny. Also, the sex scenes were some of the best I’ve read and I grew up on smut 🥵
