This was messy and I liked it! The overall theme was women empowerment and focused on workplace abuse. I liked the characters side drama and I got into their messy relationships. The story got quite repetitive though, so much so that while listening on audio I thought I was having dejavú and thought I bumped where I was in the book and went backwards a few different times.
What an impactful read!! I enjoyed this book from the very first page, though it did take a bit to become familiar with each of the four main characters. For me, there was just enough going on in each girl's life that I was intrigued to read further and further and not once was I disappointed to be switching from one point of view to another because I simply liked all of their stories. I found myself relating to these characters time and time again and it was such an incredibly cathartic experience that I even found myself tearing up towards the end out of pure happiness and drive to see them create flourish after all they had been through. I will absolutely be recommending this book to all of my gal pals!!
Im a sucker for strong women, equality, and fighting for your right to be respected and listened to as an equal! I loved the premise of this book and I’m so happy I picked this book up from the library

“She was used to waiting her turn while watching white men get what she wanted.”
A little too gatekeep, gaslight, girlboss for my tastes, but still well written. None of the characters seemed to have any earned character development. And there were a lot of white feminist moments that were painful to read. Still, a part of me thrilled at watching a narrative of the bastards of society getting shit on.
