I‘m revisiting this beautiful heartfelt manga... and of course every single volume will get 5 stars, I just need to buy the physical copies now. Loved, loved, loved the story and the characters. Can we get a third season of the anime?

The series is starting to grow on me a little more. And finally, a villain has appeared. Well, fairly positive she's a villain. Maybe I just want her to be a bad person? I guess I will find out in the next volume, which will hopefully appear in the next couple days!

This is still very cute and I love how earnest Sawako is. Also the class going from being scared of her to trying to get her to smile because they think it'll bring them good luck is great character development.

I don't think this was ny favorite out of the ones thar I've read so far but I had a lot of fun.

I liked seeing everyone hanging out at Ryu's house. I also liked seeing both Sawako and Kazehaya struggle with calling each other by their first name because they were so embarrassed. They are so cute.

I don't like Kurumizawa and how she was trying to get close to Sawako just to manipulate her into staying away from Kazehaya, like she did with those girls. I'm so happy that Sawako stood up for herself and said no when Kurumizawa was trying to corner her into setting her up with Kazehaya. We love to see it.

3 Stars for Kimi no todoke, vol. 3

Plot and thoughts

Sawako is now solid friends with "Chizu" and "Ayane" (they force her to try using their first names since they are now confirmed friends). They both notice that Kazehaya and Sawako may have feelings for each other, but decide to leave things alone.

The whole school is also getting ready for the sports festival in this volume and we are introduced to Ume Kurumi (everyone calls her by her last name because she HATES her first name). Kurumi is super cute, super popular and is seriously manipulative. Sawako, being supremely naïve, thinks she is actually trying to befriend her, but most readers should have noticed her questionable behaviour.
We also get to have a bit of a closer look and Ryu and Chizu's close friendship along with Ayane's clever shrewdness. And then there's Pin, the teacher who seriously is so full of himself it's painful to look at...heh. I can see why he's in there though. This series needs someone like him.

Oh and I noticed how this author takes the time to add Sawako's parents in so we actually know she has parents. I find a lot of manga tend to forget that most teenagers go home to their families at the end of the day. her parents are super cute and have a bit of a role reversal going on, don't they?

Library Status
I don't have this one in my library. I'm just borrowing it from the public with no plans to buy it.
In Conclusion
Another good read that progresses Sawako's experiences in the art of friends and potential love
interests.

3 stars. We're reaching Boys Over Flowers territory in that there's a seemingly 'sweet' character who turns out to be crazy and manipulative. I don't like this trope in manga/anime and it's usually never done well. Here was no exception, it was incredibly rushed and felt forced and I feel like the story didn't need to go this route cause I can already predict where this is going. I'm not amused but I still do really like this series and Sawako is still just the cutest little thing ever. Hopefully this whole storyline with the other girl gets resolved quickly and doesn't drag on and on. I've already mentally prepped myself for it to be the entire focus of volume 4 and I have my Tylenol ready.
