The eponymous character Little Bee had a lovely lyrical voice. I was a bit sad she was trapped in this story, though, with the lackluster Sarah.
This book was interesting, but it really didn't grab me much. It was a fairly quick read, but I never really cared much for one of the main narrators and that is a real turn off to me.
This is a very well written book. Characters are well developed; approach is quite unique and interesting with the writing from the young African girl's head.
I loved this book so much. It was real, and touching and relevant. Thinking unselfishly about the world is important and keeps us grounded. Now, to do more to make it better.
Totally intrigued by the back of the cover: "We don't want to tell you what happens in this book. It is a truly special story and we don't want to spoil it." can't wait!
Yes! This book delivers all that the back cover doesn't reveal. I won't reveal it either, only to say that the relationship(s) are real motivators to ask us what it means to care for each other. I'm so glad I read this.

Beautifully written, poignant story. I will definitely look for more from this author.
I don't want to give away too much, but I stayed up late to read this in a time where sleep is a precious commodity. I'm not kidding. We barter sleep in this house now, trading chores and favors for the few gorgeous extra hours of sleep one of us gets while the other tends to the baby. I chose to stay up reading this book, knowing that tomorrow I will be groggy and exhausted.
Little Bee is charming and funny and heart-breaking and horrifying. I can understand some of the other reviewer's problems with the book, certain things that seem a little off, but I was so immersed in it that I didn't even notice them while reading. I'm very picky about books, but I barely even saw the little flaws.
Also, after reading the back, I realized Chris Cleave wrote a book which was made into a movie I saw recently in which Ewan McGregor is totally naked. Pretty awesome, huh?
