I knew that when I reread this book I was going to be once again blown away at how a simple story can have such an impact on the reader. I remember reading this in middle school and being so invested in the world of greasers and socses and that happened to be the case again. Show casing that just because you come from the wrong side of the tracks in no way means that you are a bad person. I will forever love this book and hope it continues to be read in schools.

After reading this book so many times over the years, it still holds up as one of my favorites. The character growth and relationships between the cast of characters is what carries this story and its strong enough to pull it off.

I really like this book. I feel like there were times in the beginning where I was a little bored, but overall after the plot started picking up I loved it.  I definitely recommend reading it if you’ve watched the movie.
