I hate to say I didn’t like it.  I loved American fiction but this just felt so bleak and at times felt like Monk was openly hating the working class. Not to say you have to be right about everything or a good person to have a good book but I just felt the movie made similar points and didn’t leave me feeling so annoyed

I gave this two tries but this just gave me flashbacks of dating a snobby ivy league dude. This is probably his favorite book. Maybe its a good book. I will never know. I will watch the movie instead... maybe.
