Not enough warnings

There should be trigger warnings under the title of this book. If you've been abused, drugged, or raped seriously read with caution. I had to skip most of the book because it was traumatizing. It was too graphic. And it needs more warnings.

April 5th 2014 was when i read my first Last Riders book, Razer’s Blade, 7 years later i still love the books with my whole heart.

I delayed reading Gavin’s books because i wanted the whole trilogy to be out so i can binge them. Every day since the original release day of Reaper’s Salvation till 31st March 2021 i checked Jamie’s facebook hoping for updates. This is just so you understand how much i love these characters.

I honestly don’t think any book has broken my heart as much as Gavin’s Song did, i dreaded reading some of the chapters and had to stop pretty regularly. The scenes were so vivid and i couldn’t stop myself from crying. My heart kept breaking over and over throughout this book both for Ginny and Gavin. I don’t think I’ve ever felt all these different emotions while reading just one book.

Like i said my plan was always to binge the trilogy, so on to the next one.

This book had me in here crying, and I’m not even gonna lie, after that first scene when Gavin was kidnapped I skimmed through those pages because it was so hard to take. I’m hoping that in the rest of this trilogy Reaper gets back at all those who watched and participated in his suffering.

As usual I loved seeing all the different characters, and I will admit for a guy who seems to be pretty distant from his emotions for some reason everyone, plus me, really loves Shade. Greer is hilarious as usual and I love how there’s a little mysticism in every book.

Now we’re getting to know Ginny and I’m so interested in how this story is gonna turn out because making it a trilogy means we’ve got some meaty stuff coming. I just hope that we’re don’t have to wait a year for each book.

It is so hard to write this review. The best way I can describe this book would be to say it’s devastatingly haunting. It’s one hell of an intro book. There’s no romance, no sunshine and roses. We get the backstory of both our leads, Gavin and Ginny.

By the way, if you’re not one for cliffhangers, I would recommend waiting for book 3 before reading Gavin's Song and Reaper's Wrath.

So, here goes. It starts with a little girl, shrouded with mystery, forced to leave the people she loves because a secret she holds jeopardises her life. We watch her grow up, meeting some of the old characters that were mentioned in previous books, learning how important of a role they played in her life. Ginny is one tough girl. Her tough, almost traumatic childhood shaped her to be this assertive, courageous, understanding and cunning yet sweet loving woman. Surrounded by so many people who care about her, she seemed to always hold herself apart… and for good reason.

Gavin!!! So I’ve wanted more of Gavin since he was first mentioned in

This is some intenseness! Evangeline is such a brave little girl. This was some secret service drama. 4 year old Ginny is the cutest little criminal. I still don’t understand what happened with her 3 year old self. I wish they would just let it be known. Stop hinting.

Gavin is strong. I knew it would be difficult to read about his suffering. But Dang, there are some sick, perverted people in the world. The worst part is that this happens for real, to real people.

The biker b*t@hes are a hoot! Especially Killyama and her obsession to find out how low Shades tattoos go!
