This book broke my heart word by word. These two boys and the trauma they experienced was heartbreaking on its own, but so was their healing. It's rare that a book causes me to break down in real tears and Slow Hand did that for me more than once.

I knew enough about the book that I thought I need to emotionally prepare myself to read it, and I was right. A word of warning, when the blurb mentions the previous abuse, it means it. You get the perspective of both Jathan and Thierry and their past, Ford's response to it all and all of the emotional angst that is associated with healing (physical and emotional). This book is not for the weak or faint of heart.

Leaving this review as spoiler-free as possible, I loved this book and it is hands down the best in the series. Nora Phoenix blew me away, wrecked every single one of my emotions, and then taped my heart back together slowly. Five stars just doesn't feel like enough, but since I'm limited, it will absolutely be my rating.

I went into this one without reading too much about it and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! I was hesitant about the age play since I don’t generally like It but I enjoyed it in this book.

The beginning was definitely heavy and dark, the boys being so traumatised by what happened to them, but seeing them slowly open up and trust Master Ford was just precious. I loved the character developments and the slow build of trust and attraction between the men. Master Ford is such a gentle and caring Dom and the way he approached and adapted around the boys was amazing to read.

There’s a lot happening in the story and sometimes it felt like a bit too much. I think it would have been better to scale back on some things that wasn’t explored or explained further in the book.

Overall a really beautiful and emotional story, the perfect mix of angst and healing / happiness. Definitely one of the best hurt / comfort books I’ve read!

Loved it

I’ve enjoyed this series so much. I think little Raf was my favourite til I read this. I’ll alway love RAF but Jathon and Thierry, wow, they just broke my heart. Their journey to happiness was very satisfying. It was great to see Rhys and Cornell and the part they played. Ford was the perfect Master to help them overcome everything. This book was amazing and a great end to a brilliant series.

Perfect ending. I loved the dynamics between all the characters. It wasn't so much about sex but about healing and how to trust again after being hurt. Ford was and angel with these boys and Thierry and Jathan were adorable. 10/10 recommend.

Anxiety's striking again at 4am so here we are. THIS WAS SO GOOD, HONESTLY. It checked almost all the boxes, if not simply because of the mere existence of Jathan. It hurt so good every time his insecurities would sabotage his happiness, and the resolution felt so deserved and satisfying, I just couldn't put the book down.
I must say, the dialogues are still an issue. At some point they truly felt a bit info-dumpy, like when
SpoilerJathan went to speak with Cornell to ask him BDSM-related questions.
I guess it's kind of hard to fit that kind of dialogue in a book without making it sound too much of a lecture, but most of the dialogues in this book are like that.
Still, until 65% of the book I was so taken by Jathan's entire existence that I didn't mind it that much, LOL. Rarely I've come across a book that manages the concept of jealousy in a poly relationship in a way that makes sense for the characters and their pasts, while still not invalidating the relationship thanks to how the people involved decide to confront it. That was so good.

I really wasn’t sure what to expect from Master Ford’s story, but this was sheer perfection. The dynamics of the throuple worked, including the kink. Plus I will never say no to Cornell and Master Rhys appearances
