Wonderful, eye-opening.
Well written, wonderful book. Consistently eye opening, oftentimes heart wrenching, always hopeful. This book is a “should” read for everyone.

SUCH an eyeopening account of our justice system. The story is fueled by compassion. Everyone read this
this was yet another book i read for my social justice class, and i have to say it was such great work. i think this was a very eye-opening read to how systems of injustice are so prevalent within our society, and how often people benefit at the expense of marginalized communities. i think this was a great intro to mass-incarceration and the prison industrial complex, but it's definitely something i want to learn more about and learn how to end that within our society. i feel like reading these books is genuinely some of the only non-fiction i read, so i think that this has been such an opportunity to find new topics to educate myself on and fix injustices within society. also, the book was super easy to read and the anecdotes were really helpful to understanding the story and the points that bryan stevenson was getting across, so absolutely 5 ⭐️.

I want to give it 10 stars even though it broke my heart. But we need to hear this reality and I wish I could be a lawyer at EJI.
