What a book! Kept having to note down some of the information to tell other people because it was so damn interesting. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.
A novel that made me feel extremely frustrated and full of hope all at the same time. Bryan Stevenson is an incredible person. He is a true advocate for change. This book opened my eyes to the many problems with the criminal justice system, including issues with death row, trying children as adults, and prisons in general. This book is frustrating because the brokenness of the system is exposed, and it’s difficult to know how to help change it. It filled me with hope because there are incredible people who have dedicated their lives to this cause.
