Loved it!
I didn’t go into this book expecting to enjoy it but I really did.
The writing is so good and the story itself is wonderful.
I can’t believe all the things I felt reading this - that’s how great the story is.

An intelligent novel about important issues that are especially resonant in today's environment of tech companies stealing creative people's work for their AI products. 2 timelines were interwoven effectively, and showed the pitfalls of thinking we can ever know what really happened in the past. The negatives were: 1, It was repetitive, which made the story slow going. 2, As a romance reader, I wish there had been no romance because it didn't fit; it just felt like a pointless add-on stuck in there by someone who doesn't understand how to write romance. It just sprang out of nowhere. 3, The present-day villains were caricatures, to the point that I almost DNF'd an hour from the end because I just didn't care how it ended. I mean, if the hero wins against someone who doesn't seem like a real person, so what? But overall, an interesting story.
