52 Book Club 2024 - #48

Recommended by one of my reading buddies, I really enjoyed this novel. I caught myself reading way past my bedtime, trying to get to the big finish. The character of Josephine is rich & compelling, both within and outside her POV. She's fully-drawn and realistic, and I thought the chapters from her POV really brought her to life and made her neurodivergence accessible. A good, quick read.

Not that well written and seemed so intent on highlighting racism against and exploitation of Black people that it maybe became racist against white (Brendan's lack of capitalization, not mine) people.
