The writing wasn't great, but the concept of the book was good. I did enjoy the many subplots going on too.

This was a fantastic 'guilty pleasure' sort of book. I'm fascinated by ballet and the competition and demands that it puts on the ballerinas. This book satisfied that fascination and combined all the drama of mean girls as well. It was equal parts horrifying and mesmerizing. Over all, if you've any interest in ballet at all this is a great book to read.

i honestly don’t really know what to say about this book. not because it’s bad, there’s just a lot to it. i think it’s best to go into this book not knowing too much; i thought it was just a book about really mean ballerinas and while there’s a good amount of that, there’s also so much more to the story. it’s really about ballet culture and how it affects the different people within it. i honestly just felt so sad most of the story; all the girls want the same thing so badly and some of them can honestly just be overeager (to put it nicely) to get what they want. they go through a lot both in and out of the conservatory and they all need to take a step back and take a break omg
