I have to say it: after 7 books I would've loved to read more about the chracters after You Know Who's death, but I didn't get it and I was a little disappointed. The magic will continue forever in my heart and there won't be a single day where I don't think about Harry Potter

What a series closer. This book is so fantastic and gets better with each revisit. I always leave this series feeling like I’m better acquainted with a group of good friends. It’s full of love and warmth and forgiveness and grief and courage. And most of all, heart. This book has so much heart. I will continue to come back to this series because it’s just such a heartwarming story. I’ll love Harry Potter until the day I die.

This book gets me every time. I’ll sort out all the thoughts in my head and then I’ll be back with a review.

even though I don't agree with the overall ending (#TeamDramoine) and we are left wondering about a lot of people's lives, I love this book so so much! I'm so sad we will never have a proper sequel to this in book-written form...

This is a phenomenal series! This is definitely up there as one of my all time favorites! The characters throughout the series are lovable, and it is so much fun to see them grow over the course of seven books. The world-building is some of the best that I have ever read; the readers can absolutely get the feel of the school grounds and the wizarding world. The writing is also amazing! I love how JK Rowling develops this story into a darker, more intense plot toward the last few books while still keeping a fun atmosphere to the story! Definitely recommend reading this series, or re-reading like me!

four stars bc this book reveals the many loose ends jk row did not in fact tie off like i thought she might, the magic-rules-exposition crammed in right at the end that was extremely confusing to read, hermione’s ULTRA low bar for morality when she finally Snogs ron after he says “the slaves shouldn’t die for us right now,” and the fucking names of their kids in the epilogue. but the tragedy and the descriptions of grief in this book? slay mama. i did not want to be done with this series. i have been having the time of my life. what a great first time read….childhood nostalgia NOT necessary for enjoying this, can attest. i have to read percy jackson next, immediately
also everyone should watch this Shaun video on harry potter about its many glaring errors (most of which i had NO time to dwell on, not on a first-time read): https://youtu.be/-1iaJWSwUZs sooooo good lol
